The Atlantic Cancer Research Institute (ACRI) is a non-profit organization founded in late 1998 and housed at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre in Moncton. Thanks to its unique expertise, ACRI has become a true centre of excellence in cancer research.
As a very fortunate survivor of three versions of cancer, I am pleased to add my support to the efforts of the Atlantic Cancer Research Institute. This organization is totally committed to finding treatments and cures for cancer of all types.
The Atlantic Cancer Research Institute (ACRI) is a non-profit organization founded in late 1998 and housed at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre in Moncton. Thanks to its unique expertise, ACRI has become a true centre of excellence in cancer research. Scientists are working with partners in Canada and around the world to discover the genetic origins of cancer and pursuing three main areas of development: early detection, enhanced diagnosis, and targeted treatment.
The multidisciplinary research team of approximately 45 people have expertise in genomics, proteomics, molecular biology, cell biology, immunology, bioinformatics, pathology, synthetic and organic chemistry, mass spectrometry as well in vitro and in vivo testing. Through its work, the ACRI is contributing to the global research effort aimed at combating cancer.

I was asked if my grand daughter Willow and I would be part of a campaign to raise awareness of cancer research and funds for the ACRI. The plan was to have photos of survivors with relatives or colleagues. Above is one of the advertisements that they produced with us. There are several ads with several different survivor families and they all are effective.
We have had a lot of feedback from it and I enjoy the association with the ACRI.
